Feasibility and constructability study for a new sterile-manufacturing facility, completed before the design was frozen.
The challenge
The client needed to know whether an ambitious sterile-manufacturing scheme was buildable, compliant and affordable before committing capital — with regulatory expectations that change as you cross from process into civil works.
Our approach
Our engineers ran a constructability and compliance review against the concept design, tested the structural and MEP assumptions, and mapped the regulatory pathway so the eventual design would reach site already de-risked.
The outcome
The client took an informed go/no-go decision with a costed, buildable scheme and a clear compliance roadmap — avoiding expensive redesign downstream.
Project timeline
Weeks 1-2
Brief & data capture
Concept design, site constraints and process requirements reviewed against regulatory expectations.
Weeks 3-8
Constructability analysis
Structural, MEP and logistics assumptions stress-tested for buildability and sequence.
Weeks 9-14
Compliance & cost mapping
Regulatory pathway and an indicative cost range developed for each option.
Weeks 15-16
Report & recommendation
Findings, risks and a recommended option issued to support the investment decision.
