Reinforced-concrete twin-cell box-culvert crossing and channel diversion.

The challenge

Relieve flooding on an industrial access road by enlarging a crossing — while keeping the channel flowing and the road open.

Our approach

We built a temporary diversion, cast the twin-cell box culvert in stages off-line, then switched flow and reinstated the road over the new structure.

The outcome

Flood capacity restored to design standard with the access road reopened and the channel stabilised.
