The challenge
Landscape a steep hillside on unstable volcanic soils where every rainstorm threatens erosion and slip.
Our approach
We combined terracing, bioengineered slope protection and a managed drainage network with the soft landscaping, so the planting and the geotechnics worked together.
The outcome
A stable, planted hillside delivered across 6 hectares with erosion controlled through the wet season.
